A huge trend both on the high street and at the Milan Saloni this year is the paired down Japanese aesthetic. Natural materials, origami folds and muted tones characterised John Lewis‘ sophisticated looking collections for the coming season, whereas on the catwalk Paul Smith has used luxurious silks in belted kimono style jackets to achieve an eastern flavour.
