Penhaligon’s London is striking a bold 21st-century pose on London’s Regent Street thanks to an interior makeover by British designer Christopher Jenner

The project is a ‘synthesis of traditional English handcraft and high-tech manufacturing.’

It’s a dizzying display of English heritage elements combined with a punchy colour scheme.

There are giant padded walls, punctured by sticky chamfered light boxes, stunning marquetry, ceiling roses inspired by Westminster Abbey and a Tudor fretwork ceiling from which Brighton Pavilion Onion Dome chandeliers are suspended.

Christopher Jenner describes is as ‘a symbiosis of the classic and contemporary, fusing Edwardian splendour and Japanese Manga.’

We’re not sure where the Manga fits in, but it’s certainly a daring update for the English brand.

    Here’s some more snapshots below.

I absolutely love their perfume! I wear it every day. Disappointed that they stopped making their bluebell scent, though!
