We know that powdered matcha green tea is full of concentrated nutrients and antioxidants (from £25, Teapigs), so why not energise the home with this natural, powerful colour, combined with the Japanese palette of black and white.

We love the roughly dipped legs on Folklore‘s ash stool (£165), their first collection using squid ink as dye; Paint and Paper Library’s Acqua Viva paint (£35 per 2.5l) has a similar rich depth. Mix in Sanderson’s Laurel It (£36 per 2.5l) and Zoffany’s Quarter Linen paint (£35 per 2.5l) for an elegant oriental feel. Ferm Living‘s playful yet chic marble effect sheets (from £78) continue the natural trend, and for foliage that will stay evergreen, stop by Abigail Ahern for these Gelda Snowballs (from £14.50).

The green gives such a beautiful fresh colour palette, easy to mix with natural wood. And the dark grey really enhances the luxury of this image.
